An accomplished pianist, singer, and songwriter, Ruut is originally from Helsinki, Finland. The daughter of classical musicians, she toured throughout Europe by the age of 16, and moved to Baltimore in 1996. Since then she has recorded and performed on both coasts and in Nashville, having collaborated with a number of artists and songwriters including The Matrix. Her definitive new five song EP, ‘Sweet October’ has just been released, produced by Rob Hoffman and Heather Holley (Christina Aguilera).

She is currently performing solo shows that offer an intimate look at a complex artist who prefers the simplicity of voice and piano. Clearly headed towards well-deserved success, she continues to create songs that will undoubtedly become classics.
